How We Help

Most churches already have cameras, software, and livestreams.

What they're often missing is a strategy that turns those tools into a thriving online ministry.

Digital Shepherd Consulting helps churches create systems that improve engagement, strengthen community, develop leaders, and build long-term digital ministry sustainability.

  • Most churches have a livestream. Far fewer have a strategy for building meaningful connection throughout the week.

We help churches create intentional digital ministry plans that align with their mission, strengthen engagement, and provide clear next steps for online visitors.

  • A stream is only effective if people feel connected.

We help churches improve viewer engagement through chat interaction, audience participation, stream structure, hosting techniques, and community-building systems that encourage people to return consistently.

  • Many churches struggle with what to post outside of Sunday services.

We help develop sustainable content strategies that include devotionals, discussion streams, short-form content, community updates, and ministry-focused touchpoints that keep your church connected throughout the week.

  • Online ministry should be more than broadcasting.

We help churches create systems that encourage conversation, participation, and long-term relationships through intentional digital community development.

  • A healthy online ministry should be built for the long term.

We help churches create sustainable systems, develop volunteer structures, establish content workflows, and explore opportunities that support future ministry growth and digital outreach.

  • Digital Shepherd Consulting combines real church media experience with proven online audience-building expertise.

Founded by Timothy Cross, a former church Media Director and professional streamer with over 50 million YouTube views and 200,000+ followers, our approach focuses on connection, engagement, and sustainable digital ministry growth.

Meet Timothy Cross

Helping churches stay connected to people every day, not just Sunday.

I spent nearly eight years serving as the Media Director at Element Church in St. Louis, helping support the church's mission through media, technology, communication, and online engagement.

After my time at Element Church, I joined Ministry Brands, where I had the opportunity to work behind the scenes with many of the tools and software platforms churches use every day. That experience gave me a broader perspective on how churches operate, the challenges they face, and the systems they rely on to support ministry.

But the biggest shift came when I stepped into content creation and live streaming full-time.

Over the years, I've built online communities that have generated more than 50 million YouTube views and grown to over 200,000 followers across streaming platforms. Through that experience, I learned something that changed the way I think about digital ministry:

Technology doesn't create connection.

People do.

The churches that thrive online aren't always the ones with the biggest budgets, the newest equipment, or the most polished productions. They're the churches that create opportunities for people to engage, belong, and stay connected throughout the week.

That's why I started Digital Shepherd Consulting.

My goal is simple: help churches take the impact they're already making on Sunday and extend it throughout the rest of the week through intentional digital ministry, online engagement, content strategy, and community-building systems.

Because ministry doesn't stop when the service ends, and neither should the connection.
